Lost Homes: Welcome to East Gilead
A new season is about to begin of the Changeling: The Lost LARP running on Smith campus. Set in a loose interpretation of the World of Darkness, Lost Homes is the ongoing story of a group of changelings trying to keep hold of sanity and normality in a world determined to rip it away from them. Come and play one of the Lost, a mortal abducted by alien beings from another realm, twisted and warped into something other than human, to find that days or decades have gone by in the world of your origin. As a monster without a home (replaced by a simalcrum that looks and acts just like you), on the run from the Fae and the dark realm which still keeps its hold on you, how long can you keep sane? What can you take back?

The game takes a lighter tone than many WoD settings and includes something for every kind of player and character, social, mental, or physical. It is held on the third floor of Seelye Hall on Smith campus. First game will be Saturday, September 26th. The GMs will be there at 5:00 pm for character creation and questions. Game starts at 7:00 and goes until midnight. Sessions are bi-monthly. Take a look at our website at http://springfield.omegawolfstudios.com/news.php and start poking around the forums.

Phoenix Weekend
Many years ago, our ancestors settled in lands to the North, in a cold and wild place known as Sunderland. In this place, they built a refuge, a great gathering hall, in which all kinds of geeks, male and female, young and old, tall and short, long haired and bald, gathered to share in the old ways of gaming and fellowship.

That place was Phoenix Games, and it was the template from which Worlds Apart Games was developed. Phoenix Games was the where the core of what would become the Worlds Apart Community formed, and it is where many of the ideas that would become America's first all-volunteer non-profit game store coalesced.

In the first weekend of November, we gather to celebrate the founding of that ancestral institution with a whole weekend of games, events, and fun.

Friday evening, we will have a Gamer Trivia Contest starting at 7:00 PM, complete with trivia about modern games, gaming history, and the history of our community and Valley. After that, Friend Jon will delight us with a limb ripping, brain frying game of Paranoid. Like to cook? Bring something to share for our Friday night potluck dinner. Can't cook? Take out is great too.

We will then game all night until we drop, and that is just be beginning.

Saturday will be a day full of gaming of all kinds, as local game designers will come to show their games while we open up our entire 100+ game library for your use.

Sunday, starting at 2:00, we will be running a rousing game or two of Twilight Imperium, the epic strategy game from Fantasy Flight. Spaces are limited, so be sure to sign up early.

Don't miss this great event!
